In the 80s he was a teen idol; he had the youth, the looks and the talent to make him a superstar, but as his drug habits got worse and worse so did his movies. He disappeared from the public eye in the mid 90s but was recently achieving some type of resurgence (he had a reality show, a part in Crank 2, and a couple movies in production). This morning Corey collapsed at his mother's apartment, and was later pronounced dead, seemingly from a prescription drug overdose. It seems ironic to me that despite all the coke and heroin he did in dingy LA clubs, with the likes of Corey Feldman, River Phoenix, and Johnny Depp, he died alone at his own mother's house.
Rest in Peace
